Petrobras Cuts Natural Gas Price to Distributors by 1.7% Starting Nov. 1

Overview

• The adjustment covers piped natural gas and vehicle natural gas but excludes bottled cooking gas (GLP).
• The change applies to the molecule component sold to distributors, and final consumer bills depend on transport costs, supply portfolios and distributor margins.
• For the new quarter Petrobras cited a 2.18% rise in Brent as well as a 3.83% appreciation of the real against the dollar in calculating the update.
• The new pricing is valid for three months under contractual quarterly updates with distributors.
• Petrobras reports the average molecule price to distributors has fallen about 33% since December 2022.
