Petra Marčinko Tops Vera Zvonareva for Dubai W100 Title as Veteran’s Run Ends in Final

Marčinko defeated Zvonareva 6-3, 6-3 in the ITF W100 Dubai final to claim her 12th ITF trophy.
The 20-year-old Croatian is set to break into the top 100 at around No. 82, securing an Australian Open main-draw place.
Zvonareva entered unranked on a wildcard and reached her first singles final since 2020 after edging 16-year-old Mika Stojsavljevic in the semifinals.
The former world No. 2 is projected to re-enter the singles rankings at approximately No. 654 following the tournament.
Zvonareva also fell in the doubles final with Rada Zolotareva, losing to Gao Xinyu and Mananchaya Sawangkaew 4-6, 7-5, 10-7.
