Petra Kvitova to Return to Tennis After 15-Month Maternity Break

The two-time Wimbledon champion will make her comeback at the ATX Open in Austin, followed by appearances at Indian Wells and Miami.

Petra Kvitova, 34, announced her return to professional tennis after a 15-month hiatus during which she gave birth to her son, Petr, in July 2024.
Her first tournament back will be the WTA 250 ATX Open in Austin, Texas, from February 24 to March 2, replacing Madison Keys due to WTA ranking rules.
Kvitova will also compete in the WTA 1000 events at Indian Wells and Miami as part of her comeback schedule in the United States.
The former world number two and two-time Wimbledon champion expressed excitement about returning to competition and thanked her fans for their continued support.
