Overview
- Abeeb Hussain, 33, also known as Dillon Currie and of no fixed address, admitted three burglaries and was sentenced on November 7 to two years and two months in prison.
- The break-ins took place on July 26–27 in the Welland and Westwood areas of Peterborough, with entries gained by smashing patio doors or climbing through an open window.
- Property stolen included a Samsung phone, steaks and other groceries, a 50-inch television, kitchen knives, and a gold-coloured copy of the Quran, with CCTV showing Hussain eating a slice of birthday cake during one burglary.
- Officers identified Hussain from CCTV and arrested him on August 1, finding him carrying the stolen Quran.
