• Peter Kwong died in his sleep on May 27 at age 73, his representatives confirmed the following day.
• He amassed nearly 90 screen credits over almost five decades, including roles in Big Trouble in Little China and Eddie Murphy’s The Golden Child.
• An accomplished martial artist and dancer, Kwong trained in Northern Shaolin kung fu, various weapons forms and styles from ballroom to breakdancing.
• He spent more than a decade on SAG and AFTRA national boards and held leadership roles with the Television Academy and the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
