The Bears, currently 4-11, are searching for a coach to develop rookie quarterback Caleb Williams, the 2024 No. 1 overall draft pick, and improve team culture.
While Carroll's defensive background contrasts with the Bears’ reported preference for an offensive-minded coach, his leadership and experience could appeal to the team.
Other teams, including the New York Jets and New Orleans Saints, also have head coaching vacancies, with Carroll reportedly keeping his options open.
