Overview
- Brunella Torpoco won Mejor Artista de Salsa, Grupo 5 took Mejor Artista Tropical and Gian Marco was named Compositor del Año at the Premios HEAT gala in Puerto Vallarta on Thursday, November 5, 2026.
- The results were decided by fan votes collected through the LosHeat.tv application, making grassroots support the decisive factor in the awards.
- Brunella dedicated her salsa prize to God, her family and her Callao roots and explained she missed a scheduled tribute because a family emergency delayed her arrival to the ceremony.
- Grupo 5 dedicated their tropical award to their late father Elmer Yaipén, performed with Olga Tañón during the gala and announced follow-up concerts that will capitalize on the international exposure.
- Gian Marco accepted Compositor del Año in absentia because of concert rehearsals in Lima, and the three wins together underscore a rising international profile for Peruvian music through televised performances and fan-driven promotion.
