Peru’s Renzo Manyari Elected to ANOC Executive Council

His seat gives Peru a formal vote in global Olympic policy while boosting Lima’s leverage as host of the 2027 Pan American Games.

Overview

  • Panam Sports members chose Renzo Manyari, María José Alcala and Alicia Masoni de Morea as the region’s three ANOC Executive Council representatives for the 2026–2030 term.
  • Manyari, president of the Peruvian Olympic Committee, won his seat in the first ballot during the LXIV Panam Sports General Assembly in Lima on Friday, while the other two positions required seven rounds of voting.
  • The vote took place at the Panam Sports Week events held at the Hotel Westin in San Isidro, where forums and reports preceded the selection of the three representatives.
  • During the assembly Manyari publicly presented the Lima 2027 Organizing Committee and received congratulations from regional NOC leaders and IOC member Cecilia Tait.
