• More than 28 million records from 185 registral offices are now searchable on reniec.gob.pe for certified copies.
• Users first verify the record online, then pay S/10.30 via Págalo.pe or Banco de la Nación using code 02141 to download a QR-validated PDF.
• Adults with a valid DNI may request acts, only parents can obtain birth certificates for minors, and death certificates are paid with the requester’s DNI.
• Web-issued copies carry legal validity for national procedures, while documents for use abroad must be requested at Reniec agencies or authorized agents for Foreign Ministry processing.
• If a record is not found online, the request must be made at the registering municipality or, for consular registrations, through the Foreign Ministry; an in-person Reniec option remains available for immediate delivery at S/12 (code 06637).
