Peru’s ONPE Opens Portal for Voters to Choose 2026 Polling Places

The tool lets citizens rank three nearby sites to ease access, reducing crowding.

Overview

  • The ONPE portal is live nationwide from Nov. 23 to Dec. 14, 2025, for in-country voters, including those who turn 18 on April 12, 2026.
  • Voters may rank up to three preferred locations within the district on their DNI, with eligibility tied to the electoral roll closed on Oct. 14, 2025.
  • There are 8,455 voting sites available across Peru, and the service operates in Spanish, Quechua and Aymara with an option to register a disability for priority assistance.
  • Identity verification uses three personal questions on desktop or either questions plus a DNI photo or facial recognition on mobile, and users must provide email, phone and ubigeo details.
  • Final polling-place assignments will be communicated in March 2026, nonparticipants will be assigned automatically, and selections can be edited up to three times during the window.
