Overview

  • The Comando Operacional del Norte, through the Comando Unificado Pataz, carried out the intervention in the Pueblo Nuevo annex of La Libertad.

  • Environmental prosecutors, Minem and Sucamec verified the site lacked REINFO registration or authorizing documents before the assets were neutralized.
  • Special operators of the Joint Special Force and specialized National Police personnel executed the action under D.S. 060-2025-PCM and its extension D.S. 077-2025-PCM.
  • Gen. David Ojeda Parra said emergency operations have inflicted losses exceeding S/246 million on illicit economies, with further integrated actions planned to consolidate control and curb illegal mining.
