Peru’s Judiciary Brings IX ‘Llapanchikpaq Justicia’ Fair to Remote Communities

The outreach reinforced state presence by delivering face-to-face help in communities with the greatest access barriers.

Overview

  • The nationwide fair ran September 26–27 across regions including Santa Clara in Iquitos (Loreto), Cochapama in Vinchos (Ayacucho) and Contumazá (Cajamarca).
  • Multi‑agency stations provided free legal orientation, took alimony, paternity and family‑violence filings, and received criminal complaints through the Ministerio Público.
  • In Contumazá, RENIEC served 127 older adults for electronic DNI issuance in roughly two weeks, while allied services offered guidance to more than 400 children.
  • Regional court teams delivered personalized attention and preventive activities, including Juvenile Restorative Justice, with leaders emphasizing inclusive, humane service.
  • Organizers noted the program began in 2017 and previous eight editions benefited over 250,000 people directly and about one million indirectly.
