Overview
- Since the State of Emergency began on October 21, INPE reports more than 350 searches with seizures that include 79 phones, 173 electronic accessories, over 500 liters of fermented alcohol, 428 sharp weapons and roughly 2.7 kilograms of drugs.
- Tighter gate checks have led to interventions of more than 800 visitors and the confiscation of 227 phones, 636 phone accessories and about 2.4 kilograms of drugs.
- INPE says the operations are being conducted simultaneously across all 68 penitentiary facilities under orders from president Iván Paredes Yataco.
