Peru’s Holiday Imports Jump Over 30% in Q3 as Collectible Figures Soar

Retailers front-loaded orders to rebuild holiday inventories, reflecting stronger household spending.

  • Toy imports reached US$59 million, 25% higher than a year earlier, with volumes up 51.7% heading into the December campaign.
  • Collectible figures posted the sharpest gains, climbing 58.50% in value and surging by more than 1,200% in quantity on fandom and e-commerce demand.
  • Supply is overwhelmingly concentrated in China, which provides roughly 96%–100% of key categories including ornaments, trees, toy sets, didactic toys, wheeled toys and toy weapons.
