• President Dina Boluarte said the Executive will issue a favorable opinion for a new voluntary withdrawal of up to 4 UIT (S/21,400) from AFP accounts.
• The Congressional Economy Committee, led by Víctor Flores, has not put the issue on its agenda and instead created subgroups and a consultative council.
• A multipartisan push led by Guido Bellido seeks to prioritize a predictamen authorizing the withdrawal with procedures that include a 90‑day application window, disbursements of up to 1 UIT every 30 days, and a 15‑day deadline for the SBS to set operating rules.
• The BCRP warned that another withdrawal undermines the recent pension reform and noted that seven prior rounds left 2.3 million affiliates with zero balances, while the MEF cautioned it could jeopardize the S/600 minimum pension.
• Hundreds marched on September 13 in Lima, Piura, Trujillo and Puno to demand access to AFP funds and repeal of the reform, with clashes reported in central Lima.
