Overview
- Registration follows the Asociación de AFP schedule by the last DNI digit or letter starting Oct. 21, with reentry dates in November and an open window from Dec. 4 to Jan. 18.
- AFPs have activated their own web links for the process, and government digital authorities warn of smishing and fake sites, urging use of official portals and strong authentication.
- The process is fully digital and free, requiring a DNI, an active AFP web password, and a personal bank account in the applicant’s name; active, unemployed, and retired affiliates are eligible.
- After verification, AFPs must deposit funds within 30 business days of registration, with first transfers expected around Nov. 20 and only alimentary debts subject to up to 30% retention.
- The SBS estimates withdrawals could exceed S/31 billion, while economists project a temporary 0.3–0.5 percentage-point lift to GDP with funds split across saving, consumption, and debt repayment.
