Overview
- The digital system will operate in more than 2,000 focalized institutions across 20 UGELs in Lima Metropolitana, Lima Provincias, Callao, Arequipa, Tacna and Moquegua.
- Eligibility is limited to students entering the public system for the first time or requesting a transfer, while continuing students must ratify enrollment through their current school.
- Non-focalized schools will handle in-person enrollment from January 5 to March 6 under the traditional process.
- Applications are filed at matriculadigital.pe using the student’s DNI for Reniec validation, with foreign students allowed to present documents from Migraciones or the Foreign Ministry; in focalized UGELs such as Arequipa, families may rank up to three schools and receive email notification of placement.
- To support the school year, Minedu opened the 2026 hiring call for education auxiliaries under RVM No. 158-2025, with dossier submissions set for January 12–16.
