Peru to Hold National Teacher Exams on Nov. 16 and 23 With 130,000 Participants

The ministry says the merit contests advance teaching careers through transparent testing under strict security.

  • About 36,000 teachers will take the Concurso de Acceso this Sunday at 73 sites nationwide, and more than 92,000 will sit the Concurso de Ascenso on Nov. 23 at 156 sites.
  • Candidates must arrive at their assigned locations between 7:00 and 8:00 a.m., with site details available through the official Minedu ENLACE portal.
  • The Concurso de Acceso national test consists of two subtests—reading comprehension and institutional/public management—with 70 printed questions and a 3 hour 30 minute limit.
  • Minedu reports that all exam materials are prepared, safeguarded and transported under strict security protocols and warns applicants to ignore offers of false information or materials.
  • Preliminary results are slated for Dec. 5 with a complaints window from Dec. 6–12 and final results on Dec. 18, after which qualified candidates proceed to decentralized evaluations by DRE and UGEL committees.
