Overview

- All renewal deadlines are paused and currently issued plates remain valid until November 30, 2026.
- The obligation to carry a front holographic plate with a self-destructing electronic sticker is suspended, leaving without effect the relevant provision of Supreme Decree No. 007-2025-MTC.
- The decree halts the application of articles and annexes of the plate regulation covering codification, color schemes, dimensions, security elements, and registration procedures.
- The MTC must approve complementary regulations within five calendar days and the decree will take effect once those rules are issued, with broader security features under Law 32184 deferred for evaluation by the next government.
