- Transport minister César Sandoval announced that Jaén’s Fernando Belaunde Terry airport will resume flights on September 29, 2025, after more than two years without service.
- The terminal has been closed since June 4, 2022 due to a deteriorated runway, with maintenance by Consorcio Jaén delayed past a reported September 22 completion date.
- Caballococha airport in Loreto is expected to begin operations in October 2025 as its terminal construction reaches the final stage.
