Overview
- The Executive formalized the ERM 2026 for Sunday, October 4 via Supreme Decree No. 001-2026-PCM to choose regional governors and councilors as well as provincial and district mayors and council members nationwide, including Callao.
- The JNE activated the ERM calendar with primaries on May 17 and 24 and a June 16 deadline to register formulas and lists, under rules that require gender parity, youth quotas and indigenous representation.
