Peru Ratifies Record $85 Billion Export Projection for 2025, Sets 2026 Trade Target

The trade ministry credits a broad-based surge led by mining.

  • Peruvian goods were sold to 170 countries, led by China at $25.941 billion (+27%), the European Union at $8.412 billion (+25%), and the United States at $7.755 billion.
  • For 2026, Peru targets $86 billion in exports and expects 26 trade agreements to provide preferential access to 61 markets, with talks advancing with Thailand, El Salvador, Uruguay, India and the United Arab Emirates.
  • Policy goals include exports contributing 27% of GDP, assistance to 75,000 families through the Ruta Productiva Exportadora, and S/172.5 million in savings via the VUCE single trade window.
