  • Peru earned an average score of 4.54 in Taste Atlas’ “100 Best Cuisines in the World” list for 2025.
  • The ranking draws on 590,228 ratings across 16,357 dishes compiled by the culinary reference platform.
  • Italy placed first with 4.64 and Greece second with 4.60, with Portugal and Spain rounding out the top five at 4.53.
  • The result positions Peru as the highest-ranked cuisine in Latin America, ahead of regional peers such as Mexico, Argentina and Brazil.
  • Taste Atlas highlighted emblematic dishes and producers and cited notable restaurants, including salsa de ocopa, ají criollo, conchitas a la parmesana, chocotejas, pollo a la brasa, Tacama, Pisco Huamaní, Cacaosuyo, Tesoro Amazónico, Ecoandino, La Mar Cebichería, Isolina, El Bodegón, Astrid y Gastón and Rafael.
