Overview
- The Nov. 10 operation in Callao by the PNP environmental and organized crime units, in coordination with the Third Specialized Prosecutor’s Office, uncovered a clandestine storage site on Avenida Néstor Gambetta.
- Authorities reported seizing approximately 12 tonnes of fins destined for Asian markets, estimating a value of more than $15 million abroad and about $3 million locally.
- Police detained three Peruvians identified as Juan Roberto Quispe Huamaní, Osvaldo Wilfredo Nole Viera and Melquiades Quispe Huamaní, who remain in custody under investigation.
