Peru Police Launch Probe After Elderly Protester Struck as Press Guilds Condemn Case Against Journalist

Press groups say the planned complaint against Panorama’s Karla Ramírez criminalizes reporting, heightening scrutiny of police conduct.

  • Similar youth-led demonstrations reached Paraguay on Sunday, where police reported 31 detainees after deploying 3,000 officers in Asunción.
