Overview
- The Ministry of Education launched registrations this weekend for the XIV Concurso Nacional de Buenas Prácticas Docentes 2026, which is open to more than 500,000 teachers and school leaders in public and private schools.
- The contest runs in three stages—inscription, regional evaluation and national evaluation—and asks that submitted practices be actively in use and backed by evidence.
- Key deadlines require a preliminary registration of the practice by October 7 and the upload of supporting evidence by October 22, with full rules and forms on the contest platform.
- Proposals may be individual or group entries of up to five teachers, and entries compete in six categories: five pedagogical areas plus one for school management.
- Winners will be published and promoted by the Observatorio Nacional de Buenas Prácticas e Innovación Educativa so effective methods can be shared and replicated across the country, supporting Minedu’s longer-term effort to strengthen teaching and school management.
