Peru Migraciones Opens 50,000 January Passport Appointments After Record 2025 Issuance

The move follows the arrival of 200,000 new passport booklets to secure service capacity in 2026.

Overview

  • The agency issued more than 773,000 electronic passports in 2025, marking a third consecutive annual increase.
  • January booking slots will be available across 31 service points in 20 regions plus Callao, broadening access beyond Lima.
  • Surco’s Citizen Service Agency at Jockey Plaza led national issuance, while Arequipa, Trujillo and Chiclayo topped demand in the interior.
  • Applicants must pay S/120.90 via Banco de la Nación or Págalo.pe using code 01810, book online or in person, and present the latest DNI in good condition on the appointment day.
  • Migraciones urges users to avoid intermediaries because reservations are free and personal data could be at risk, and adults 70 and older can be served without prior appointment.
