- More than 426,000 public-school teachers receive the second tranche of this year’s salary increase in November, according to the Education Ministry.
- Post-increase pay now ranges from S/3,500 to S/7,351 for 30-hour schedules and from S/4,667 to S/9,801 for 40-hour schedules, depending on magisterial scale.
- The adjustment covers appointed and contracted staff across basic, pedagogical and technological education, including higher pedagogical institutes.
- Minedu has also published reference scales for 2026, ranging from S/3,600–S/4,800 in the first scale to S/7,560–S/10,080 in the eighth scale for 30- and 40-hour workloads.
- The ministry reports cumulative 2025 increases of S/400 to S/1,120 by scale and hours, with total state funding of S/1,435 million for the year’s raises.
