Peru Finalizes Eighth AFP Withdrawal Rules as Argentina Sets October Pension Increase and Payout Dates

The measures fix firm calendars with safeguards to govern how millions access their money next month.

Overview

  • Peru’s SBS approved the operational procedure for the new AFP withdrawal of up to 4 UIT (S/21,400), with applications opening on October 21 for 90 days.
  • Funds will be released in four monthly tranches of up to 1 UIT, with SBS maximum payment dates set for November 20, December 20, January 19, 2026, and February 18, 2026.
  • Only alimony debts can trigger retentions of up to 30% per installment, and AFPs must strengthen cybersecurity, recordkeeping and remote identity verification protocols.
  • Argentina’s ANSES formalized a 1.88% October adjustment via Resolution 317/2025 and will keep the $70,000 reinforcement for low-income retirees, taking the minimum to $396,298.38.
  • ANSES payments begin October 8 by DNI termination; some October 10 credits may be rescheduled due to the moved holiday, and higher-benefit pensions pay from October 22, with PNC dates also set.
