  • Premier Eduardo Arana rejected the JEE’s position, asserting the PCM message did not reference any political organization and saying the government guarantees broad participation in the April 12, 2026 elections.
  • The JEE warned that administrative fines of 30 to 100 UIT could apply in case of recurrence, and both matters remain subject to appeal to the Jurado Nacional de Elecciones.
