Peru Court Authorizes Terrorism Trial of Cerrón, Bermejo and Bellido Over Alleged Sendero Links

The case now moves to a national collegiate court to set hearing dates.

  • The antiterrorism procuraduría requests S/100,000 in civil damages plus S/30,000 for alleged obstruction, and Cerrón remains in hiding under a separate 24‑month preventive detention order in a money‑laundering probe.
