Peru Blueberry Exports Reach 317,605 Tonnes With U.S. Leading as Ica Posts 38% Surge

Varietal renewal across 13,218 certified hectares is the sector’s chosen path to raise yields without expanding farmland.

  • By week 50, Ica shipped 23,768 tonnes to the United States, up 38% year over year, and totaled 46,784 tonnes to rank third behind La Libertad (152,869 t) and Lambayeque (76,991 t).
  • The United States received 145,873 tonnes, equal to 46% of the campaign total, followed by Europe (89,921 t), China (43,592 t) and the United Kingdom (16,721 t).
  • Peru’s 2025–2026 campaign comprised 290,350 tonnes of conventional blueberries and 27,255 tonnes of organic fruit.
  • In the U.S. market, Ventura led the varietal mix at 20%, followed by Sekoya Pop (14%), Biloxi (11%), Mágica (11%) and Rocío (8%).
