Perry County Man, 49, Dies After Car Strikes Tree, State Police Say

Police say the driver was not wearing a seat belt, with the crash still under investigation.

Pennsylvania State Police identified the driver as Kenneth E. Heffley Jr., 49, of Duncannon.
Troopers said his Kia Forte crossed opposing lanes on Sulphur Springs Road just north of Creek Road around 3:55 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 11.
The vehicle struck a tree located about eight feet from the roadway, according to the police report.
Heffley was taken to Penn State Health Holy Spirit Medical Center, where he died that night, with PennLive reporting the time as about 11:45 p.m.
State police reported he was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, and their investigation is ongoing.
