Perrine Laffont won the first round of the Ski Moguls World Cup in Ruka, Finland, marking a successful comeback after a year-long hiatus.
The French skier scored 81.13 points, edging out reigning Olympic champion Jakara Anthony of Australia and American Olivia Giaccio.
This victory is Laffont's 31st World Cup win and her third triumph at Ruka, following wins in 2018, 2019, and 2020.
Laffont attributed her return to competition to rediscovering her passion for the sport after feeling mentally drained at the end of the 2022-2023 season.
The five-time world champion has her sights set on the upcoming World Championships in March and the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan.
