Overview

  • Local authorities approved Disneyland Paris’s Project SUN permit on August 14 after an April 14 filing, making public a 30,368.64 m² project with 11,392 m² of gross floor area.
  • The centerpiece will be a covered, two-level log flume housed inside an artificial Pride Rock rising to roughly 37 meters, with the attraction building concealing the ride and queue.
  • The permit lists a retail shop inside the attraction building, a quick-service food kiosk with covered seating, guest restrooms, and an outdoor character meet-and-greet area.
  • Landscaping calls for planting nearly 300 trees and stamped-concrete paths evoking the savannah, while infrastructure plans use existing electrical loops, add a water basin and stormwater drains, and create new backstage access and parking for cast members.
  • Blueprints place the land beside Avengers Campus with an entrance on Adventure Bay, and reporting indicates Disney Adventure World will reopen with World of Frozen in 2026, with the Lion King land debuting later.
