Kendrick Perkins released his all-time top-10 point guard list without Chris Paul and slotted Russell Westbrook at seventh. He argued that only NBA championships and MVP awards meet his criteria for all-time ranking and noted Paul’s lack of both. Perkins’ hierarchy placed Magic Johnson first, followed by Stephen Curry, Oscar Robertson, John Stockton, Isiah Thomas, Gary Payton, Westbrook, Steve Nash, Jason Kidd and Bob Cousy. Chris Paul enters the Hall of Fame debate after 20 seasons averaging 17.0 points and 9.2 assists per game but with just one Finals appearance and no titles. Paul agreed to a one-year deal with the Los Angeles Clippers and is expected to contribute as a veteran leader off the bench in pursuit of his first championship.
