- PiNCAMP, the ADAC camping portal, checked real-time availability across about 3,500 European campsites for the 23–28 May Pentecost window and found demand growing faster than in summer.
- Popular regions are close to full, with the Sauerland already 57 percent booked and only three sites still showing pitches at Hof Biggen and EuroParcs Biggesee in Attendorn and at UplandParcs in Winterberg.
- Lower Saxony remains looser, with the Lüneburg Heath at 36 percent occupancy, the Harz at 17 percent, and the North Sea coast still showing broad availability.
- Pentecost’s share of annual bookings rose from 9 percent in 2024 to 12 percent in 2025, and PiNCAMP says 2026 continues that rise.
- PiNCAMP chief Uwe Frers urges campers to reserve soon because many July and August sites are already at their limits, pushing more travelers to book the May holiday.
