Pentagon Replaces Liberal-Leaning Outlets with Conservative Media in Office Rotation

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth expands a controversial media rotation program, doubling the number of outlets losing Pentagon workspace access.

The Pentagon announced that CNN, The Washington Post, The Hill, and The War Zone will vacate their office spaces, replaced by Newsmax, The Washington Examiner, The Free Press, and The Daily Caller.
This follows last week's removal of The New York Times, NBC News, NPR, and Politico, which were replaced by Breitbart, One America News Network, The New York Post, and HuffPost.
Outgoing outlets retain press credentials and access to Pentagon events but lose the logistical advantages of on-site workspaces.
The Pentagon Press Association criticized the decision as unreasonable and argued there are no space constraints requiring such rotations.
The Defense Department claims the rotation aims to broaden access to smaller and less-established media outlets, many of which lean conservative.
