Pentagon Awards $4.7 Billion Apache Contract to Boeing, Plus $2.47 Billion Air Force Modification

FMS funds tied to Poland, Egypt, Kuwait are now committed, signaling long-term production and sustainment into the 2030s.

Overview

  • Boeing won a $4,685,369,804 firm-fixed-price Army contract to produce new-build AH-64E Apaches, Longbow crew trainers, and associated spares, with work in Mesa, Arizona, through May 30, 2032.
  • $2,295,831,204 in Foreign Military Sales funding was obligated at award for Poland, Egypt and Kuwait, according to the Defense Department.
  • Poland will receive 96 AH-64E helicopters, with deliveries expected to begin in 2028; Boeing says it is the largest Apache order outside the U.S., and Poland is already training crews while leasing eight aircraft from the U.S. Army.
  • Separately, Boeing received a $2,469,937,348 Air Force contract modification for Lot 12 Production Aircraft, G081, subscriptions and licenses, with work in Seattle through June 30, 2029 using fiscal 2026 procurement funds.
  • Additional actions include a $100 million Northrop Grumman IDIQ for Stand-in Attack Weapon subsystem support through 2034, DLA fresh-produce IDIQs worth up to $675 million through 2030, and sustainment and services awards for Vectrus, Bell Boeing, Emagine IT, BB&E, KBR Wyle, and Insignia Federal Group.
