Pennsylvania Woman Faces Deadline to Recover Misplaced $2.5M Lottery Ticket

Mildred Simoneriluto purchased a $2.5 million winning Cash 5 lottery ticket in May 2024 but misplaced it shortly after discovering her win.
She realized the ticket was left in the pocket of a jacket she donated to Vietnam Veterans of America, a charity with a vast distribution network across the U.S. and internationally.
The Pennsylvania Lottery requires the physical ticket to claim the prize, and the deadline to do so is May 8, 2025.
Despite multiple visits to the grocery store where the ticket was purchased, Simoneriluto has been unable to recover it, leaving her frustrated and desperate.
The ticket, bearing the numbers 14, 22, 33, 35, and 38, could now be anywhere, making its recovery increasingly unlikely as time runs out.
