Pennsylvania Woman Charged with Animal Cruelty for YouTube Videos

Anigar Monsee solicited likes and followers while torturing and killing animals live on her now-terminated YouTube channel.

Anigar Monsee, a 28-year-old woman from Pennsylvania, has been arrested and charged with four felony counts of aggravated cruelty to animals for torturing and killing animals live on YouTube to gain more followers.
Monsee's videos allegedly showed her mutilating a live chicken, pigeon, rabbit and frogs, soliciting more likes and followers from her 20,000 subscribers as she did so.
Monsee's YouTube channel has been terminated for violating the platform's community guidelines against violent or abusive content towards animals.
The investigation into Monsee's activities started with an email tip from the animal rights group People for Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA).
Monsee is expected in court for a preliminary hearing on February 5.
