Overview

• Jessica Marie Mauthe, 39, is being held without bail in the Armstrong County Jail after bail was denied by District Judge J. Gary Decomo.
• Prosecutors charged her with criminal homicide, involuntary manslaughter, four counts of concealing the death of a child, and four counts of abuse of a corpse.
• A landlord reported a foul-smelling bag during a Sept. 13 cleanout, and investigators later located three additional sets of remains in attic storage totes.
• Autopsies conducted at the Indiana County Coroner's Office confirmed four sets of remains and prompted authorities to withdraw and refile charges.
