- James Russell Kahl, 65, and Carly Kahl, 41, face counts including endangering the welfare of children, aggravated assault, reckless endangerment, use of an incapacitation device, and drug offenses, and both were denied bail.
- The children were removed on Aug. 8 under a court order and remain in Fayette County CYS care as forensic interviews and the criminal investigation continue, with the next court hearing set for Sept. 17.
