Pennsylvania Opens Reservations for 61 State Park Glamping Sites for 2026

The DCNR–Timberline partnership focuses on welcoming new campers through hotel-style comforts in natural settings.

Overview

  • Bookings opened Oct. 7 for safari-style tents at eight parks for the 2026 season, with availability aligned to each park’s operating dates.
  • The participating parks are Poe Valley, Hills Creek, Laurel Hill, Pymatuning, Codorus, French Creek (Loops A and B), Hickory Run and Promised Land.
  • Nightly rates are expected to range roughly $130 to $200, with Timberline operating the sites as its first expansion into the Northeast.
  • Each park will include one ADA-accessible tent, and all sites offer real beds, heat and air conditioning, lighting, outdoor seating and optional local add-ons.
  • Reservations follow standard rules of one-night stays on weekdays and two-night minimums on weekends and holidays, with 3 p.m. check-in and 10 a.m. check-out, supporting a plan to grow visitation and local tourism after nearly 25 million park visits last summer.
