Pennsylvania Judge Charged with Attempted Murder of Ex-Boyfriend

Judge Sonya McKnight has been charged with attempted murder and aggravated assault for allegedly shooting her ex-boyfriend, Michael McCoy, in the head.
The incident occurred after McCoy ended their relationship and asked McKnight to move out of his home.
McCoy woke up with severe head pain and blindness in one eye; gunshot residue was found on McKnight's hands.
This is not the first time McKnight has been accused of shooting a significant other; a similar incident occurred in 2019.
McKnight is currently suspended from her judicial post due to unrelated misconduct allegations.
