Overview
- PennDOT broadened temporary 45 mph speed limits Friday evening to cover most major routes in the Harrisburg region.
- Speed limits now apply on I-81, I-83, US-11, US-22/322, I-283, PA-581, US-15, PA-283, US-30 between PA-24 and PA-462, and US-222.
- Tier 3 commercial-vehicle restrictions are active on I-81, I-83, I-283, and I-78.
- Only loaded single-trailer trucks with chains or an approved alternate traction device may operate under Tier 3 and they must remain in the right lane.
- School and commercial buses, motor coaches, motorcycles, RVs, and passenger vehicles towing trailers are prohibited on the restricted interstates.
