Interim Replacements Announced as Team Struggles in Major Games

Penn State has fired offensive coordinator Mike Yurcich following a 24-15 loss to Michigan.
Despite Penn State ranking second in the Big Ten and No. 14 in the nation with 37.7 points per game, Yurcich's offenses struggled in key games, scoring only 12 points against No. 1 Ohio State and 15 against No. 3 Michigan.
Head coach James Franklin criticized the offensive playcalling after the loss to Michigan, stating the need for better game calling to allow the quarterback to get into rhythm.
Running backs coach Ja’Juan Seider and tight ends coach Ty Howle will share interim offensive coordinator responsibilities for the remainder of the season.
This marks the sixth time Franklin will have to hire a new offensive coordinator since he was hired to lead the team in 2014.
