Freshmen-led performances alongside intra-squad finals showcased the program’s depth.

Penn State entered 20 wrestlers, produced nine champions with six runners-up, and had 19 place at West Point.
True freshmen starred as Nate Desmond edged Luke Lilledahl 5-3 for the 125 title and Marcus Blaze posted a 21-6 tech fall over Army’s No. 27 Ethan Berginc at 133.
Mitchell Mesenbrink secured the 165 crown with a pin of Army’s No. 18 Gunner Filipowicz, reinforcing a dominant middleweight showing.
Intra-squad finals decided 149, 157, 174 and 184, with Shayne Van Ness, PJ Duke, Levi Haines and Rocco Welsh winning; NCAA rules do not record teammate bouts as official results.
Aaron Nagao exited the 141 final by injury default while leading and Dalton Perry withdrew after being hurt at 149; redshirt freshmen Connor and Cole Mirasola added titles at 197 and 285, and Penn State now heads to Drexel on Dec. 5 before hosting Lehigh on Dec. 7.
