• The four inductees will be honored in an on-ice ceremony before the Oct. 25 home game against the Columbus Blue Jackets.
• The announcement kicks off a three-year rollout following a 12-year hiatus, with a permanent Hall of Fame space planned on the FedEx concourse at PPG Paints Arena.
• Scotty Bowman shifted from player personnel to head coach in 1991 and guided Pittsburgh to the 1992 Stanley Cup and the 1993 Presidents’ Trophy.
• Ron Francis, acquired from Hartford in 1991, recorded 164 goals, 449 assists and 100 playoff points over eight seasons with the Penguins.
• Eddie Johnston, the general manager who drafted Mario Lemieux and later coached from 1993–97, joins three-time All-Star Kevin Stevens, who registered 260 goals and 295 assists for Pittsburgh.
