Penguin Random House Acquires Boom! Studios

The comic book publisher will retain its editorial independence and continue operations from Los Angeles.

Boom! Studios, known for titles like BRZRKR and Lumberjanes, will join the Random House Worlds portfolio.
Disney is selling its minority stake in Boom! Studios as part of the deal.
The acquisition will not affect Boom! Studios' distribution partnerships with Diamond Comic Distributors and Simon & Schuster.
Boom! Studios' media division will remain unchanged, continuing its film and TV projects.
The deal is expected to close later this summer, with no disclosed terms.
